Reflection of the Pandemic

At first I thought you’ve got to be kidding me, COVID-19 isn’t going to impact my business and effect my life. Well guess what? It did. I have not been as busy in the office. I have many patients canceling appointments, waiting for this to calm down before they resume care. I started to take it personal. But looking back over these last two weeks, I have a lot to be grateful for. I am grateful for my patients who continue to purchase supplements during these difficult times. At least they are getting important vitamins and nutrients the body needs! I am grateful that I can continue to see patients who need my help during these extra stressful times. I am grateful to work from home so I don’t have to go out each day to go to work.

Aside from the business aspect, I needed this opportunity to slow down. My life constantly on the go. I sometimes forget to take care of myself. These last two weeks, I have caught up on reading a stack of books that had been staring at me since before Christmas. I enjoy my 30-40 minute work outs each day instead of rushing through them. I can sit down and eat breakfast in the morning, actually tasting the food I am putting into my mouth. I also have lunch breaks now. Again, another chance to make a healthy meal and give my body the nutrients it needs. I am doing a lot more cooking at night. Experimenting with flavors and new foods. I have been extra focused on making sure to drink my water each day and take my supplements. I need to stay healthy too! I have taken more baths in the last two weeks than I have in the last year. I am finding time to relax and care for my body.

So yes, this whole pandemic stinks. But what can you take away from it? Are you spending more time with your family? Are you getting in those work outs you say you never have time for? Are you reading? Did you clean your house? Are we sleeping in? Are you going for a walk? There are so many things to be grateful for during this time of chaos.

Slow down & be grateful! This too shall pass.
